Scope
This policy applies to AliCarParts.com public pages and its administration area. It does not govern Alibaba.com, suppliers, or other websites reached through outbound links.
Information we collect
Catalog and usage activity
We record selected vehicle type, make, model, model year, part area, part, search time, and supplier-link clicks. Search and click records include a pseudonymous SHA-256 value created from the connecting IP address and a private application key; those tables do not store the raw IP address.
Device and consent information
Your browser stores your analytics choice locally. Our server and hosting provider may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, and security events. Authenticated administrators use a session cookie and failed login events are rate-limited by a keyed IP hash.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive the address and contents you choose to provide.
Sources and purposes
We receive information from your interaction with the site, authorized administrators, configured analytics providers after consent, supplier-data feeds, and hosting/security providers. We use it to operate the parts finder, produce relevant supplier links, improve catalog coverage, measure performance, prevent abuse, secure administration, answer requests, and comply with law.
Disclosures
When you follow an outbound link, Alibaba.com receives the normal information involved in that request. If you accept optional analytics and the site owner has configured Google services, online identifiers and usage events may be sent to Google under its terms. Hosting, database, security, and professional-service providers may process information only to support site operations. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.
Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
We do not knowingly sell personal information. Optional advertising or analytics integrations may qualify as “sharing” or targeted advertising under some laws; they remain disabled until you accept analytics. Use to change that preference.
Retention
Search and click records are automatically deleted after 13 months. Supplier discovery run logs are deleted after 180 days, and failed-login records after 30 days. Session cookies expire when the browser session ends or the server timeout is reached. We retain emails and records required for legal, security, or operational needs only as long as reasonably necessary.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising. You may also appeal a denied request where applicable. Email support@alicarparts.com. We may need to verify your request and will not discriminate for exercising a privacy right.
Children, security, and changes
The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We use access controls, prepared queries, output encoding, restrictive browser policies, and retention limits, but no internet service can promise absolute security. Material changes will be posted here with a new date.
